Have a sore throat and feel a cold coming on? Here are some tips to boost your immune system and prevent illness from setting in.

Step one: Stop eating all sugar! Sugar lowers our immune function.

Step two: Make the immune soup! These kitchen herbs are medicinal.

Directions:

1 Quart vegetable broth

1 medium onion chopped

6 cloves of garlic chopped

2 inch piece of ginger grated

Add to pot and bring to boil for 20 min. Strain herbs and drink broth throughout the day like a tea.

Step three: Mix up the lemon throat elixir.

Honey and citric acid in lemons are an infection fighting combination.

Directions:

2 TBL fresh lemon juice

2 tsp honey

¼ c warm water

Stir in glass and spoon down.

Step four: Hydrate well. Drink a combination of herbal teas and water at least 1.5 liters/day

Step five: Zinc lozenges and high dose Vitamin C work really well, dose 3-4 x day.

Step six: Rest. Get to bed earlier and let your body fight it off. The word rest is inside the word restore, need I say more?

Step seven: If you have body aches and chills you have the flu. Take oscillicoccinum a homeopathic remedy to help prevent the flu!

Note from Dr. P:

Get used to feeling good, we all should. Then we can have fun and be our best.
